Salton Sea

My favorite project of all time. There is nothing I love more than a damsel in distress when we’re talking about a semi-abandoned resort in Salton Sea! If you haven’t been, it’s an old resort in Palm Springs, CA that was evacuated because of the rapid rise in salt concentration that started to kill the fish, which killed the birds that ate the fish (and drunk the water) and probably damaged a few fishermen. If you were blind or blindfolded, you’d know when you get there because the smell (especially in the summer) is so nauseating, you’ll want to turn around and run for the hills! But don’t leave before you get some stunning photos; it’s worth it, trust me.
